psychologist – psychotherapist

While the content of an individual’s life history cannot change, it can be told or reconstructed in many differing ways.

Psychological discomfort can take many forms and affect our daily lives. Many people seek therapy for anxiety, sadness, feeling stuck, past trauma, difficulties in their relationships or other mental health concerns. From a psychoanalytic perspective, therapy is understood in a broad sense: it attends not only to symptoms, but also to one’s personal history, present circumstances, and hopes for the future. Sessions offer a safe space to speak freely and to explore what lies behind the distress, including those aspects or patterns that can be hard to recognise but nonetheless shape how we feel and relate to others.
